How long have you been a teacher at Wachusett?
I have been teaching since 2016—9 years.
How did you decide you wanted to be a teacher?
I originally had a preschool teaching license from Wachusett, then went into the emergency mental health field. This was very stressful and kept me up at night. I decided I wanted to combine both things I like, and teach history and psychology.
What is your favorite topic to teach?
I really like teaching psychology and the brain.
Are you involved in any other additional activities at the school or in the community?
Yes, I advise the board game club and dance club.
What is a random fact about you that would surprise most students?
I am a certified cycling instructor, and I’ve flown a plane!
Lastly, what is the most important life lesson you teach?
We are all human. It is important for both teachers and students to remember we all have lives outside school.
