In recent years, Rutland has seen an influx of new coffee shops, with the latest addition, Coffeelands, quickly becoming a favorite among students. Opened in early fall, the café offers a trendy new spot for studying, socializing, or simply relaxing with a high-quality cup of coffee.
“I really liked the scenery they had there at Coffeelands, and the staff was super nice,” said Junior Nolan Fanning.
“I liked the inside. It was really cool,” said Senior Ava Piskator. “I also went to the Coffeelands in Clinton, and the Rutland one is definitely a lot cleaner and nicer.”
Sophomore Owan Brugman, who visited the Coffeelands in Clinton, shared his thoughts as well.
“It was really good, but I’d rather go to Dunkin’ because it’s cheaper and has faster service,” said Brugman.
Coffeelands is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. — perfect hours for students before and after school.
Freshman Brandon Oneii, although he hasn’t yet visited Coffeelands, shared his loyalty to Dunkin’.
“America doesn’t run on Coffeelands, they run on Dunkin’,” said Oneii.
Junior Julia Clark, who appreciates Coffeelands’ close location, is a regular visitor.
“I go almost every weekend with my sisters and friends, and I love it there,” said Clark. “They are definitely more expensive than Dunkin’, but the quality is much better.”
Assistant Principal Matthew Lane also had high praise for Coffeelands.
“The scenery in there was unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” said Lane. “I really thought it was a great place to go and sit and relax. The atmosphere was great.”
Coffeelands offers a wide variety of coffee and tea options, with a range of flavors to suit every taste.
Jacob Toomy, a regular at Coffeelands, expressed his satisfaction with the chain’s offerings.
“I go to the Coffeelands all the time in Clinton; it’s right near my house, and the coffee there is great,” said Toomy. “I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else; it’s great there.”
With its warm atmosphere, unique decor, and diverse menu, Coffeelands has quickly become a top choice for coffee lovers in Rutland. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic espresso, a frothy chai latte, or simply a cozy spot to relax, Coffeelands is well on its way to becoming a beloved local favorite.
