At Wachusett Mountain throughout the cold winter months, lines of people form and skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes and enjoy a good time. Many students share the same winter hobby of skiing and snowboarding at Wachusett Mountain during the winter.
“I have been skiing since I was one. Most of the time, when I went skiing I would go to the Mountain because I have had a great experience there and I have no complaints,” said sophomore Cooper Hall.
The Bronze Pass at the Mountain costs $549 for adults (13-64). The Silver Pass costs $699. And finally, the Gold Pass comes in at $919. Many students that ski and snowboard say that the service there is good, despite the high cost of the passes.
“I’ve gotten pretty good service there, most of the workers are high schoolers. The cost of the passes are very expensive, but I think the cost is only going to increase more because of inflation,” sophomore Joel Homoliski remarked.
These past few winters, not much snow has been seen. Last winter, February and March had a lot more snow than December and January. Many people who like to ski and snowboard at the Mountain have doubts about how snowy it’s going to be.
“I think there are probably going to be more parts of the Mountain that are more icy than snowy,” said freshman Nick Brady.
The popular trails at the Mountain that students enjoy are another thing to think about. These trails extend throughout the Mountain, stretching from the east to west sides.
“I think the trails are going to be good if they are well maintained like last winter,” said senior Josh Landadio.
Some students like sophomore Adam Gurbuz have been looking forward to starting skiing or snowboarding at the Mountain this winter.
“This winter is going to be my first time skiing, and I’m excited to start,” said sophomore Adam Gurbuz.
Whether skiing or snowboarding, Wachusett Mountain offers memorable winter experiences. The conditions, however, can make or break those experiences for both new and older mountain goers.
