What adults should know about us – volume 1

Josh Hurwitz
  1. A person’s dreams are never too big, or too unrealistic. My parents have always encouraged me to follow my dream, but they have also warned me that my goals might not happen. And I just feel that that is totally untrue. Nothing is ever out of our grasp as long as we work for it and always believe.

  1. Adults give kids rules to stop them from getting in trouble, but to be honest, sometimes, it just makes us more likely to do the thing they don’t want us to. I’m not saying that there should be no rules at all. I just think that by limiting things, adults make them more interesting to kids, so they’re more likely to do them.

  1. The planet is in serious trouble. Seriously, I don’t understand how anyone can doubt global warming. This is our home, and we are destroying it. People, including myself, really need to get up and start fighting to change the damage we’ve done before it’s too late.

  1. Everyone wants you to grow up, but I think that children are the smartest of us all. As a child, imagination rules your world, you have hope, love, laughter. I think that to be a better person, you have to keep your inner child alive.

  1. I don’t understand racism, sexism, bullying, homophobia, etc. Why can’t people just accept each other? Sadly, our world today has a pretty constant stream of hate coming through it, and I think that we all just need to put a plug in it and see everyone for the amazing person they are.
